Witnessing the stifled potential of underprivileged children and seniors due to limited access to educational resources and digital literacy, Adya (the founder) and Aria (the co-founder) were determined to make a difference using their skills. Inspired by the transformative power of education, they joined forces with many other young changemakers to create Impactt Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underprivileged children and seniors through education, with a special focus on computer science, debate, and digital literacy.

Their unique curriculum, designed to address the challenges faced by underprivileged children, equips them with essential critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Through engaging lessons in computer science and debate, students gain the tools they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Similarly, seniors are given the opportunity to learn digital literacy skills, enabling them to navigate technology safely and stay connected with loved ones.

As Impactt Kids worked to bridge educational gaps for children, they recognized another vulnerable group that needed support—senior citizens facing digital challenges. With technology becoming an essential part of daily life, many seniors struggle to navigate online platforms, recognize scams, and protect themselves from digital fraud.

To address this, Impactt Kids has expanded its outreach to senior communities, including The Watermark Senior Center in San Ramon and the Emerald Valley Senior Center in Dublin. Through interactive workshops, seniors receive hands-on guidance in cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and technology use, helping them stay connected, informed, and protected in today’s digital world. By equipping seniors with these critical skills, Impactt Kids is ensuring that they are not left behind in the digital age.
